Shop Hanahou

“Hanahou” means “Do it again!” in Hawaiian. Senior Move Masters offers ‘Shop Hanahou’ as an opportunity for our clients to recycle their little-used and well-loved items in a manner that is cost-effective and helps others and the environment at the same time.

Many of our clients grew up in the Great Depression. They do not embrace today’s ‘disposable’ society and are more apt to give up things if they know there is a specific home their possessions are going to. We have made connections with non-profit groups throughout San Diego county, and those groups come to us when they are looking for some housewares or furniture to help fulfill a need in the community they serve.

We match gently used furnishings and accessibility items with new owners, thereby extending the life of perfectly good, functional items that may otherwise end up as landfill. We can improve our community by our individual and collective actions.

Directions to our Warehouse

Our warehouse is open to the public by appointment only, but our group of friends & their ‘wish lists’ continue to grow. If you would like to join the group please let us know and we will add you to our email list!

When you contribute to or purchase from Shop Hanahou, you are saving time, money, and the environment — and you are helping worthy causes. Many non-profit agencies operate on shoestring budgets and benefit from Shop Hanahou’s ever-changing selection.  We have been able to support agencies including Community Resource Center, Jewish Family Services, Casa de Amparo, Operation Homefront, Project Refugee, and others through the years.
